However, a substantial 43% still prioritize their connection to Chennai, demonstrating a strong emotional attachment to the city. There is a near even split on whether to prioritize higher education for upward mobility (52%) or acknowledge that low pay deters skilled labor (48%). When it comes to consumer behavior, most residents (61%) are skeptical of Aadi sales, viewing them as a way to clear unsold stock rather than genuine bargains. In a clear display of values, 83% believe doctors deserve better working conditions due to their life-saving work, and 54% would prioritize spending on education over providing benefits like chicken biryani in schools.
